Drinking water comes naturally for some, but for some it may be a struggle. One thing we can all agree on is that water is essential to our day to day living in so many ways especially when working on those 2021 health and fitness goals.
It is a fact that up to 60% of our body is made up of water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even the bones are watery: 31%. Wow that’s a lot of water to swallow 😉
When looking at our water intake as we work toward our fitness and overall health goals keep in mind some of its benefits...
